As written by director Russel Birdy’s own story, Mr. and Mrs. is a love-story centered on a married couple Rahul and Anjali, played by Rajeev Mohan and Shilpa Tulaskar who have been married for two years now. Having been through the ups and downs of being a couple in love, going on dates, having fun together...not being able to have kids...facing financial challenges...having misunderstandings...living apart from each other for a year...coming back together again with renewed vigor...the couple has learnt a lot about each other and the essence of their relationship. They are now mature enough to admit that even though they love each other very much, there is one thing they haven’t done in their marriage...and that’s to keep the thrill alive in their love.
